Je suis parti vers le Grand Nord en direction du Labrador.
Je traînais une pile de livres en guise de baluchon. Ils me
servirent d’oreiller quand le temps se faisait long. J’ai fait un bout de chemin sur le pouce avant d’acheter mon billet
d’autobus vers Labrador City. Un fléau de prospecteurs y
sévissaient depuis peu, munis de signatures officielles qui leur permettaient de venir creuser, déterrer ce que bon leur semblerait. J’ai surtout voulu tenter ma chance, mais le vent m’a jeté au fond d’une vieille mine abandonnée.

I headed for the Great North, direction: Labrador. I had a pile of books with me that served as a sort of bindle. I used them as a pillow when the hours dragged on. I hitchhiked for a while before buying a bus ticket to Labrador City. A plague of prospectors had recently descended upon it, brandishing official signatures that allowed them to come dig, unearth
whatever they saw fit. I had just wanted to give it a shot, but the wind blew me into an old abandoned mine.
